Apa itu teks naratif?
Teks naratif adalah sebuah cerita yang memiliki kronologis dan saling terhubung. Teks naratif menceritakan kisah fiktif di masa lampau, biasanya berupa dongeng, cerita rakyat, legenda, kisah para binatang, dan mitos.
Tujuan dari teks naratif adalah untuk menghibur para pembaca.
Ciri-ciri dari teks naratif:
- Menggunakan pola bahasa Simple Past Tense
- Menggunakan kata keterangan waktu seperti pada zaman dahulu kala (once upon a time), suatu hari (one day), dll.
- Menggunakan kata hubung waktu ketika (when), then (kemudian), after that (setelah itu), dll.
- Menggunakan karakter khusus seperti Sangkuriang, Cinderella, Pinokio, dll.
- Menggunakan simple present tense untuk kalimat langsung (kalimat dalam bentuk percakapan).
Struktur Naratif Teks:
1. Orientation (Orientasi)
Pada tahap orientasi ini, kita dijelaskan tentang apa, siapa, kapan, dan dimana cerita terjadi. Biasanya teks ini ada di awal paragraf.
2. Complication (Komplikasi)
Pada tahap ini, permasalahan pada cerita mulai diperlihatkan, konflik mulai naik sampai pada titik puncaknya.
3. Resolution (Resolusi)
Pada tahap ini, permasalahan di dalam cerita mulai menemui titik terang, dan terpecahkan.
4. Coda/Re-orientation (Re-orientasi)

PINOCCHIO
Once upon the time, there was an old poor man named Geppetto. He lived lonely as a carpenter and had nobody.
One day, he made wood doll from a branch of tree. He worked carefully and well. While he was making the doll, he said “You will be my son, and I will give you name Pinocchio”. Fortunately, there was a nice angle who felt pity with him. Then, she conjured the doll to be speakable and moving likes a human. When Geppetto was sculpting on its mouth, suddenly the wood doll spoke to Geppetto.
“Stooppp.. stoppp .. stop it now!.” Screamed Pinocchio.
“Can you speak?!” Said Geppetto in a shocking.
“Of course I can. You already give me a mouth.” Answered Pinocchio
Geppetto was very happy, then he said “My son, you should take a rest, because you will go to school with others kids tomorrow. You should learn about new things and how to be good boy.”
After that, Pinocchio went to school, but in the middle of his way. He saw a doll show. He saw the dolls were dancing and singing, Then Pinocchio jumped on the stage and said “I can sing and dance better than those dolls!”
The owner felt that Pinocchio was annoying, but after the audiences saw Pinocchio’s performance, they felt happy. Then the owner gave him five gold coins. Then Pinocchio went to school again, but in the middle way, he met with fox and cat.
The fox and cat knew that Pinocchio had five gold coins, they deceived Pinocchio. Then the fox said “Hi Pinocchio, do you want to get more coins? Your father must be happy.”
“How can??” Asked Pinocchio
“You have to burry your coins under a magic tree.” Said the cat.
Without thinking any more, Pinocchio followed to the magic tree then buried the coins. After that, Pinocchio knew their plan, but unfortunately he was hung on the tree by fox and cat. Suddenly the angle came with a wolf, then she asked for the wolf to catch the fox and cat.
Then, the angle said “Why don’t you go to school?”
“ Emmm.. I.. I..” Pinocchio was nervous to answer that question.
In the same time, his nose became long and long like a branch.
“Hi Pinocchio, every time when you are lying, your nose will grow to be long, but if you say the truth, your nose will be back to the normal size.” Said the angle.
Pinocchio always thought about the angel’s words. When he was on a way, he stopped at the coast to see a train show. He didn’t know that the owner was a witch. Then the witch entered all the children to a stomach whale.
In the stomach whale, Pinocchio was very sad and afraid. He thought about Geppetto, he felt guilty with Geppetto, because he didn’t go to school as what Geppetto said. He promised, if he met Geppetto again he will be a good boy for him.
Suddenly, he met with Geppetto in the stomach whale. Geppetto also was swallowed by the whale. After that, the angle came and helped them again to get out from stomach whale.
“Daddy, now, I promise to be a good and honest boy for you” After said the words, Pinocchio changed to be a real boy.
Finally, Pinocchio and Geppetto lived happily ever after.
From this story we can learn that every bad things that we have done will caused bad things to us also.
